APS Fire: Chevron REG Plant Fire Extinguished; Two Injured

The Alamogordo Fire Department, New Mexico responded to a fire at the Chevron REG Plant early Monday afternoon, extinguishing the blaze shortly after their arrival, according to Alamogordo Fire Marshal Brant Chee.

Two Injured, Transported

Chee stated in a release that two Chevron employees sustained injuries during an incident that led to the fire. Both were transported to Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center with injuries Chee described as non-life threatening and non-critical.

No Evacuations, No Chemical Damage

Despite the fire, no evacuations were ordered as a result of this incident, and no chemical spills were reported. Chee said the fire was contained to the processing area of the plant.
